What to Bring
Most people are in our residential program for 3 to 4 weeks. We ask that you pack enough casual clothes for about a week. We have laundry facilities available to you.We provide laundry soap (If you have allergies and require a special soap, please bring that with you).
Prescription Medications
Bring all prescription medications that you are taking. If you are on a regular regime, be sure to bring enough of the medication to last for your stay here. If non-detox drugs are needed while you are here, you will be responsible for the cost. Co-pays or the cost of the drug can be paid by check or cash.
Personal Hygiene Products
Bring all personal hygiene products. We have alumni who help us with patient shopping one day each week. Essentials can be bought at that time.
Physical Activities
Physical activities are a part of our program. Please bring tennis shoes, workout clothes and a modest bathing suit.
Meetings
You will be attending numerous 12 Step meetings in the community. You may want to bring some clothes for these meetings. This does not require your “Sunday Best” but people often like to bring something a little nicer than day-to day clothing.
Spending Money
You will need money for cigarettes, stamps, phone cards, sodas, personal hygiene items and any prescription medications. We also take you out on Friday night after the AA meeting to a restaurant where you may want to order something to eat. Usually no more than $20 per week is needed. You may want to bring your checkbook for needed prescription drugs.
